In the 2022 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) constituents which was announced on December 9, SKFH was selected into “DJSI World” for two consecutive years, which demonstrates our fruitful achievements in aiming to be in line with the international community in recent years, actively promoting corporate sustainable development, and incorporating ESG into major operating activities, and has received international recognition.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the world's first index evaluating companies' ESG performance, only the top 10% of the world's top 2,500 companies with ESG performance in each industry can be included as constituent, which is quite competitive.
In the 2022 evaluation, SKFH’s ESG overall score ranked 4% in the global insurance industry, and its performance in social aspects was more prominent, ranking fifth in the world. In the sub-item evaluation, SKFH got full marks in seven categories including materiality, human rights, financial inclusion, customer relationship management, corporate citizenship and philanthropy, environmental reporting, and social reporting. SKFH also ranked among the best in the global industry in the dimensions of climate strategy, talent recruitment and retention, and privacy protection, which not only shows SKFH’s completeness and inclusiveness in planning sustainable strategy but also reflects SKFH’ emphasis on talent recruitment and employee welfare, its long-term achievements in financial inclusion and social welfare, and its great progress in managing climate risks as well as cultivating climate resilience and adaptability.
SKFH has repeatedly earned recognition by domestic and foreign ratings in terms of sustainable management performance. In addition to being selected in Dow Jones Sustainability Index and FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index, SKFH and its subsidiaries has recently won 9 awards including Taiwan Top 100 Sustainability Model Enterprise Award, Taiwan Sustainable Investment Award(Taiwan SIA), "Education Quality" and "Sustainable City” of Taiwan Sustainable Action Award(TSAA), etc. Shin Kong Life(SKL) also won the excellent financial institutions that treat customers fairly evaluated by Financial Supervisory Commission, and received the sports enterprise certification mark of Sports Administration, Ministry of Education.
