Carbon Emission Reduction Target

SKFH and its subsidiaries originally set 2019 as the baseline year and established the carbon reduction goal to reduce per capita GHG emissions by 2% annually and total GHG emissions by 2% annually for Scopes 1 and 2 GHG emissions until 2025. However, at the end of 2022, SKFH signed up for the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and set a net-zero target for 2050 with a 1.5°C reduction scenario, using absolute reduction methods, with the promise to reduce the sum of Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 34% in 2030 compared to the baseline year of 2022.

Green Workplace

SKFH promote various energy saving policies and integrates green thinking at the implementation level. The company manages energy use, adopts energy saving measures, and encourages employees to turn off lights when leaving, properly set air conditioning temperature, and follow other energy-saving habits to steadily reduce office energy use. Although operations in the finance and life insurance industries do not have a significant direct negative impact on the environment, SKFH is nevertheless dedicated to implementing a “green finance” strategy. The company is committed to reducing energy and resource dependence and is simplifying operating procedures through digital financial services. These efforts are directly reducing resource consumption and positively benefiting the environment.
